This is another common offshore dolphin species in the Gulf of Mexico. This acrobatic species is also know as the Short-snouted Spinner Dolphin.
Birders on a Mississippi Ornithological Society trip in Louisiana waters saw this species, and the LOS trips will see them sooner or later. This Clymene Dolphin was photographed off the Texas coast during a trip led by Dwight Peake during June of 1999.
